Kink Lucky Dip is a low-pressure multifandom smut exchange for the not-so-discerning gentlefan. Are you open to almost any kink as long as it features your OTP? Are you bored with your usual smut repertoire and looking to expand your horizons? This event is for you. Matching will be on ship and medium only. Each participant must create an M- or E-rated work (minimum 300 words or a clean sketch on unlined paper) for one of their recipient’s ships, respecting DNWs but otherwise getting as kinky and creative as they like.

You may nominate 1-10 ships in 1-10 fandoms. For this exchange, only romantic or sexual (‘/’) ships are eligible. Please disambiguate your ships by including the fandom name in brackets, like so:
Speaking of which: RPF is welcome, as long as all parties are 18+ and famous in their own right. Crossovers go under Crossover Fandom, with both fandoms included in the nomination like so: Kreacher (Harry Potter)/Pliny the Elder (Ancient History RPF). Original works go under – you guessed it – Original Work, and in keeping with the spirit of the exchange, should be framed as character archetypes or plot scenarios rather than baking in specific kinks. Marine Biologist/Sentient Octopus is fine. Marine Biologist With A Huge Cock/Sentient Octopus Who Impregnates Him In The Butt With Its Hectocotylus is cheeky.
For the truly indomitable of spirit, you can also nominate [Character]/Creator's Choice of Character. This is for 'little black dress' characters where you don't care who the other half of the ship is as long as your fave gets laid. You cannot DNW specific ships or specific characters in combination with this request, but any general DNWs (such as student/teacher or xeno) will still apply. Note that for matching purposes, creator's choice does not act as a wildcard. To match with someone who requests Darth Vader/Creator's Choice of Character, you must also offer Darth Vader/Creator's Choice of Character, even if you've already made up your mind to write Darth Vader/Yoda. Offering Darth Vader/Yoda will not work since the matching algorithm views it as an unrelated tag.
Large fandom guidelines
For large fandoms with multiple installments such as MCU, DCEU, Arrowverse and Star Wars, please nominate films/series separately (Captain Marvel, Star Wars Original Trilogy). You can nominate in-universe crossovers under the umbrella title (Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars – All Media Types).
For DC Comics and Marvel Comics, please nominate all main-continuity comics under the umbrella title (DC Comics) and all titles that take place outside of main continuity under their respective titles (Bombshells, Arkham Knight). For alternate versions of characters that happen within the main continuity/storyline, nominate them with an informative designation under the main DC Comics/Marvel Comics tag (HYDRA!Steve Rogers).
Signups
You must request 1-20 ships in 2-10 different fandoms, and offer 1-20 ships in 3-10 different fandoms. You can repeat fandoms across multiple slots as long as you have enough different fandoms to meet the minimum requirements. ‘Fandom’ for these purposes means anything that appears as a fandom in the tagset – yes, single-franchise signups are allowed. You can specify fic, art or both for each slot. Unmatchable signups (meaning you are not offering a fandom/ship/medium that another participant is requesting) will be deleted. Please make sure you are matchable by the time signups close.
You are encouraged to use the DNWs and Additional Details box to share your preferred ship dynamics, the sorts of kinks you like, and anything else that might help guide your creator. It would be helpful to describe favourite themes and ‘flavours’ that can apply to a range of kinks – for example, perhaps you love detailed descriptions of novel physical sensation, whether that means toe-sucking, wax play or a good old-fashioned tentacle surprise. Feel free to list specific sex acts for inspiration, but remember these details are optional and your creator is not obliged to follow any part of your request except for DNWs and a single one of your requested ships.

Do Not Wants (DNWs)
Your DNWs are things your creator must not include in your gift. To be valid, they must be:
You cannot use DNWs to box your creator into writing only certain things you want. For example, you cannot DNW ‘unrequested kinks’ since that would negate the theme of the exchange. Vague DNWs like ‘hard kinks’ or ‘anything really extreme’ are too subjective to be enforced – try to narrow down specifically what you consider extreme, such as noncon or graphic violence. You also cannot DNW things that conflict with your request, such as ‘DNW incest’ for a canonically incestuous ship, or ‘DNW canon divergence’ for ships that have never had a realistic chance to meet in canon.
Please be as clear as possible about what you do not want to receive, and don’t assume your preferences will be obvious. I reserve the right to query DNWs during signups but am largely relying on everyone to act in good faith. If any reasonable issues of interpretation arise, I will err on the creator’s side.
Gifts
To fulfill your assignment, you must create a work that:
If you need a short extension on your assignment deadline, reach out as early as possible. If you need to default, likewise, please do so as early as possible to allow time for a pinch hitter to be found. If you default and your creator defaults, you will not receive a pinch hit. Other than that there are no consequences for defaulting.
Pinch hits will be advertised on this Dreamwidth community. Everyone who completes their assignment is entitled to a gift, but if your pinch hit lingers to the deadline, you will be asked to add requests. If you are unwilling to add requests, we cannot guarantee a gift.
Treats
This exchange encourages treats, which are bonus gifts made by anyone who may find your requests inspiring. Treats do not have to meet minimum length requirements, but should otherwise follow the same rules as assignments.
